Preparing market price cards: keep the cards and table list in sync

If you're getting handmade pieces ready for a market, keep one list of product names and prices, then use it for both the cards beside the items and the price list on your table. That gives you one place to check when a price changes. A short workflow: 1. Start with one real item. Write its name, the price, and what that price covers — for example, one ornament or a pair of earrings. Keep material or size details to a short line. 2. Check the card beside the actual item. Make sure the price is easy to find and the unit isn't ambiguous. A bundle needs its own clear label; don't leave buyers guessing whether a price is per item or per set. 3. Before making a whole batch, export one page using the paper size you will print on (A4 or US Letter). In the print dialog, use 100% / Actual size. Test a page on plain paper before using card stock. Measure a known-size line or box to catch unwanted scaling. 4. After a price change, compare the individual card with the table list. Replace both together, and put the old versions aside so they don't get mixed back in. You can do this with a spreadsheet and a document template. We also made a free browser tool at FPMatrix that takes one product list and exports 85 × 50 mm price cards and a matching table list as separate PDFs: https://fpmatrix.ai/market-day/ It doesn't need an account. Download the project file if you want to reopen and change it later; drafts aren't saved automatically. The linked print guide includes a 5 cm calibration line. We've checked the PDFs on screen, but haven't verified a physical print yet. It doesn't calculate prices or sync inventory. Disclosure: this is our tool, developed with AI assistance. We also offer a separate paid kit, but none of the steps above require it. If you try it and get stuck, the useful detail is which step failed — entering an item, saving the project, exporting, or printing — and what you expected to happen. No customer details needed.
