🌿 The Warmth You Can’t See in a Photo — Kokeshi by Julie and Her Handcrafted Kokeshi We’ve shared Julie’s beautiful kokeshi work on Peppaca’s Instagram before, so I had already seen her creations many times through photos and videos. Recently, I had the chance to see and hold one of her kokeshi in person. ✨ What surprised me most was just how expressive it was. The colors were even more beautiful in person, and somehow, I could feel the natural warmth of the wood through its little expression. It had much more character than I had expected from seeing it on a screen. It reminded me that handmade work can feel completely different when you experience it in person.
